Melissa Hansen, M.Ed., BSN, RN, CSN-NJ
Mrs. Melissa Hansen, M.Ed., BSN, RN, CSN-NJ received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from Felician University in 2012. She received her Certificate in School Nursing of New Jersey in 2020 and her Master's in Education Degree at William Paterson University in 2022. Before she received her nursing degree, she worked as a Certified Medical Assistant, specializing in dermatology and plastic surgery for 8 1/2 years. Mrs. Hansen has over 20 years of experience working in the medical field. As a school nurse, her passion is health education relating to nutrition, physical activity and social-emotional health. Last year, Mrs. Hansen worked at Stonybrook Elementary School from May 2022 through December 2022. She is excited and eager to be back at Kinnelon to work alongside the students and their families. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, baking, exercising, attending mass and spending time with her family.

Welcome to the PRM Middle School Health Office.
I am proud and honored to be the school nurse at PRM Middle School. I have been a registered nurse for over 11 years, with prior experience in community health nursing (hospice and school nursing). Before I received my nursing degree, I worked as a Certified Medical Assistant, specializing in dermatology and plastic surgery for 8 1/2 years. As a certified school nurse, my main objective is to promote physical and emotional health for each individual who enters my office. It is also imperative to keep an open line of communication among students and their families throughout the year. Should there be a change in your child's health, parents and guardians are encouraged to contact me. I wish everyone a happy, healthy, and safe 2023-2024 school year!
