Welcome to the PRM Middle School Health Office 

As the full-time School Nurse, I am committed to fostering a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for every student. My goal is to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being while making the health office a place where students feel comfortable and cared for. 

As a Kinnelon resident and parent, I deeply value the importance of a strong school community and believe in open communication among students, families, and staff to best support our students’ wellness. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling with my family, practicing yoga, and pursuing lifelong learning to continue growing both personally and professionally. 

I welcome open communication with all and look forward to working in partnership to ensure a healthy, enriching, and successful 2025–2026 school year. 

 

Professional Background 

Mrs. Vanessa DiRusso holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is a licensed Registered Nurse. She brings over twelve years of professional experience to her role and is currently pursuing further education at Caldwell University to enhance her expertise and integrate the most up-to-date practices in school health. 

Her career began in sub-acute rehabilitation, where she advanced into a supervisory role, and later expanded to include work in an acute care hospital telemetry unit. Last year, she served as the Kinnelon District Nurse, supporting the health needs of students across all grade levels.
